Become a Volunteer.

Be the Support. Volunteer Today.

Recovery in Community runs on the strength of our volunteers. Whether you’re accompanying someone to treatment, helping manage logistics, or offering peer support, you’re making recovery more accessible in real, meaningful ways.

What Volunteers Do.

Our volunteers play an important role in supporting individuals throughout San Juan County. Depending on your skills, experience, and availability, you might:

  • Support community outreach and education activities

  • Provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental presence during times of transition

  • Offer peer support and encouragement before or after treatment

  • Assist with ferry and travel coordination

  • Accompany someone traveling off-island for treatment

You do not need to be in recovery yourself to volunteer, although we deeply value lived experiences. What matters most is your ability to show up with respect, confidentiality, and care.

Training & Support.

We provide all volunteers with training, guidance, and ongoing support. Our team will make sure you feel prepared, confident, and connected at every step.
